About Zenteon
Creating a Robust Variety Of
Lightweight Shaders
At Zenteon, we believe stunning visuals shouldn’t be reserved for high-end rigs. Our mission is to push the boundaries of what’s possible in real-time rendering—especially on low-end hardware—by creating shaders that blend performance, visual fidelity, and creative freedom.
Meet the Developer
Zenteon is led by Daniel Oren-Ibarra, a self-taught graphics developer with an obsession for light, shadow, and everything in between. With no formal programming background beyond Scratch, Daniel dove headfirst into shader development in 2023 and never looked back—amassing nearly 4,000 hours of hands-on experience.
Daniel approaches his work with intense dedication, shaped by a deep sense of honesty, integrity, and accountability. For him, visual development isn't about settling for “good enough”—it’s about pushing every pixel to its potential. Whether he’s studying high-level math, exploring obscure image processing techniques, or rebuilding a feature from scratch for better performance, Daniel refuses to take shortcuts when better results can be earned with more effort.
Beyond the Code
When he’s not refining shaders or deep-diving into rendering theory, Daniel can be found playing aggressive jazz on guitar, reading random academic papers for fun, or wondering who Rem is.
A Relentless Drive for Quality
Zenteon’s first major release, DampRT, was an ambitious venture: a horizon-based global illumination shader designed to maximize quality while minimizing performance impact. While it had significant pitfalls, it marked the beginning of a zero-compromises approach that defines all of Daniel’s work.
Every shader released under the Zenteon name is built on the same principles:
Performance that respects your hardware
Visuals that elevate your gameplay and captures
Craftsmanship with purpose and passion
